Day 1: Arrive Copenhagen, Denmark

Denmark’s capital ranked among the greenest and coolest cities in the world by the New York Times! Copenhagen is a modern capital but with strong roots in the past. It is welcoming, dynamic, lively and charming, and it is also an ideal base to explore Denmark. Upon arrival to the airport, take the train into town. This is an easy and independent way to get into the downtown. Walk to your hotel.

Day 2: Copenhagen - Vagar - Vagoy

Independent transfer to the airport for your flight to Vagar, Faroe Islands. Upon your arrival to Vagar airport, meet your group and local guide. Have an initial information meeting before you set off on sightseeing on the island Vagoy.

Day 3: Vestmanna Birdcliffs

Leaving the hotel this morning you will travel from Vágar through Faroe Islands first subsea tunnel. From Vestmanna enjoy a boat trip to the magnificent Vestmanna bird cliffs. Afterwards you can visit the saga museum where you will get a great overview of the island’s history. Lunch will be served in the restaurant. Continued sightseeing on the islands Streymoy and Eysturoy, the two biggest islands of the country. Spend the night at hotel Gjaargardur in the cozy and beautiful little village of Gjogv.

Day 4: Day exploration on Bordoy and Kunoy

Sightseeing on the northern islands Bordoy and Kunoy known for their high mountains among other things. Explore towns such as Klaksvik, the second largest city of the
Faroe Islands, as well as tiny little traditional villages. Lunch in Klaksvik After a full day sightseeing tour on Bordoy and Kunoy, drive back to Gjogv. Dinner at Hotel Gjaargardur.

Day 5: Day exploration of Eysturoy and Streymoy - Torshavn

Depart for sightseeing on Eysturoy and Streymoy. Leave Gjógv and drive towards Eidi where you will pass the highest mountain on the Faroe Islands, Slættaratindur (880m). From Eidi over the Atlantic bridge to Tjornuvík and later to Saksun. Pass the old whaling station at Air. This day’s journey ends in the capital Torshavn. Dinner in a restaurant in Torshavns city center. Night at hotel in Torshavn.

Day 6: Day exploration of Torshavn

Enjoy a half day sightseeing in the capital with bus and guide where you will get a great overview over the city, its history and its architecture. Visit the old town Reyni, the world's oldest parliament Tinganes and the fort Skansin. The tour continues to the historical village Kirkjubour - The old cultural center of the Faroe Islands. Visit the roughly 900-year-old Roykstovan, where the King's yeoman still lives after 17 generations; Ólav's church from AD 1111, named after King Olav the Holy. This church is the oldest church in the Faroe Islands, and is still in use. See the ruins of St. Magnus Cathedral, which is regarded as one of the largest cultural attractions in the Faroe Islands. Lunch in Torshavn. Spend the afternoon on your own to explore Torshavn. Optional farewell dinner at restaurant Aarstova (if interested, please inquire when booking). Night at hotel in Torshavn.

Day 7:  Torshavn - Vagar - Copenhagen

A boat trip with “Lakeside” the most special and exciting vessel of the islands to the waterfall Bosdalafossur. You will be served lunch onboard. Full of impressions and intense natural beauty from the sights over the past week, you will return to the airport for your return flight to Denmark. Independent transfer to your hotel.

Day 8: Depart Denmark

Independent transfer to the Copenhagen airport.
