You will pass stunning landscapes of lakes, deep forests and wild mountains. It’s common that in this sparsely populated region the train sometimes must stop for elk and reindeer to be moved from the tracks. On the way the train will make two stops to visit the historical station house in Storuman and the Inland Railway museum in Storsele. In the afternoon you will reach Arvidsjaur.

It is a bustling trading and communications center. The town has many art galleries to visit and we recommend the Northern Norway’s Art Center, Gallery Dagfinn Bakke and Magic Ice which displays ice sculptures. (Exhibitions are subject to changes).

If you rather want to explore the nature, why not book an optional paddle the waters by kayak or hike one of the many mountains, that surround Svolvaer.
